Your Smile

Your Smile

A Poem by West of Everyone

Slowly and gently
My heart warms
With each smile
The ice melts
Pouring off
In the form of tears
Hidden from view

My soul wandered
Over and through the years
Down the valleys
Pushing through the mountains
That surmounted and towered
High above my life

My thoughts were daunting
To think of the future
Of a life meant to be
Until your smile brought
Light to a dark life
A life of lonely depression
Turned to soaring heights

I watched as you lifted
My soul to the very heavens
Reinforcing my weakness with strength
Building where there was destruction
Teaching me to walk when I fall
Your eyes say it
To me everything is in your smile
