The One

The One

Stone cold
I lay under the tree
Fallen
Unable to rise
I cry

Off in the distance
Over the hill
Comes the one
The one who can help
Help me please

Closer they ride
White shimmering horse
Hair flowing in the breeze
Beauty of beauties
Radiant

Halting at my side
The one looks upon my brokenness
I flail to rise
Only to fall again
I beg for help

A smile crosses the one's face
Reaching down to me
Hand outstretched
I reach to grasp
That soft and pretty hand

Our fingers touch
Sending shivers over my whole
As I wrap my fingers
The one's hand pulls away
Leaving me to hold nothing

The one's smile turns to smirk
A laugh of depth and darkness
Emits from the one's lips
Cursing me
And burning my wounds

Tears falling
I look upon the one's face
But receive ruthlessness
My soul being condemned to hell
Spat upon, nothing

A kick and the dust flies in my face
As the one rides away
Leaving me to my fate
My fate of nothing
Nothing

Existing not
Not even in the eyes of the one
Emptiness
I am spent
Broken
