Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

Parting Is Such Sweet Sorrow

He walked down the long corridor
Sat gently on a vinyl seat
Placing his bag next to him
Staring out the giant windows of the foyer
He watches the snowflakes light upon the ground
All the while listening to Bing sing "White Christmas"
His thoughts concentrated upon the one he loves
Wishing he did not have to leave her
Wanting only to hold her tight
And to watch the snowflakes light upon her head
When they walk down the street

She sits in the pew tears welling up
Missing the one she loves
Wishing she never had to say goodbye
People worshipping God while she is hurting
She calms her throat and stands to sing
Thinking only of her love
She will be apart from him for only a month
But it hurts none the less
She wants to hold him once more
If only for a brief moment in time
And to stare deep into his thoughtful eyes

He thinks of her sitting there
As she thinks of him
Their love for each other filling their hearts
The image of each other flickering in their minds
Their souls praying for one another
The memory of the bittersweet goodbye
Lasting upon their breath
The longing for the touch from each others' hand

They sit in silence waiting, wishing and wanting
For that glorious day, when they will be reunited, to come
Parting is such sweet sorrow

This is beautiful. The emotion is clear sweet and simple. The format is nice and there seem to be no grammatical errors that I can see. Lovely poem.
