Little Great Big Words

Little Great Big Words

A Poem by West of Everyone

You’re always standing strong
Against everything that’s wrong
A pride swells in my heart
For you, Da, in every part

We may never say them
Those three little great big words
They’ve been shown ‘tween us two
And they are “I love you”

Workin’ on my old car
Your help isn’t all that far
Using your big hands of steel
To tighten the bond we feel

We may never say them
Those three little great big words
They’ve been shown ‘tween us two
And they are “I love you”

Wake up at 4 am
And when the light is dim
Rollin’ out to the lake
Fishin’ until we ache

We may never say them
Those three little great big words
They’ve been shown ‘tween us two
And they are “I love you”

I am always lookin’ forward to
The time I spend with you
Sometime in the future
That time will be forever

We may never say them
Those three little great big words
They’ve been shown ‘tween us two
And they are “I love you”
