Wind in the Hand

Wind in the Hand

A Poem by West of Everyone

He wanted to be a part

Even a small, but recognized part

He spent his all trying to gain

But in the end they rejected him

Crippling him and casting him

Upon the shore of the stream of life

To cry out in agony and rot in grief

Leaving him to the wolves

So they can gather his bones

In their dens and

Mash them with their teeth
To be this man is to be nothing
Nothing but wind, wind in the hand
