Some advice for a lonely wifeA Poem by Wandering MinstrelSome advice for a lonely wife
who still loves in spite of it all through the endless torment of deceit, and the gleam that grows dull in the eyes of one you love when the truth be told, and the heart goes still, and the soul shrivels, and the trust rusts, forever stained by lures of lust, and the eyes wet, and the love begins to crumble under the weight of minor indiscretions nights away till late strip joints and peep shows drunken acts whispered about rumours of dancing with another flirting with some other dancing on the edge of infidelity these seem to pile up heavier with each accusation... give him a chance, just one more to turn it all around, to scrape the rust from your trust, to devote his time to you for a while without the need for escape from what you should both hold precious, strip dance for him in the privacy of your home, bring him a drink or two each weekend, at home safe from temptations other then you, and then tip him in a way he will not forget for his patronage of your love. Fight for it before it is gone or just let it die quietly in a bar somewhere south of your love. © 2014 Wandering MinstrelReviews
