Bye Bye Butterfly

Bye Bye Butterfly

A Poem by Wandering Minstrel

Bye bye butterfly
is what I think you say
when I think what you mean
In a dream I know I am living in
Fly fly far away
is where we will go
If you just take what is
and hold hand to hand from front to back
under umbrella skies
are the nights we will share together
from a distance you can view
on loving days shared together
gone gone gone with the wind
are the places we can not go back again
in the whisper of the cricket's lullaby
with harmony from mother nature's child
Come come come here
is not an attempt to get you high
but a surrender of mercy
to a sea saw' who said he saw
Bye bye butterfly
is what I will say
when I want to hear
you simply say hello back to me
This song I sing to you
Bye bye butterfly
Fly fly far away
under under umbrella skies
gone gone gone with the wind
Come come come here
Bye bye butterfly
