Tick, tock.

Tick, tock.

A Poem by Midnight Baron ⚜️

Tick, tock. There goes the clock.

A second goes by, then a minute.

Eye watching in patience.

Wondering if he is wasting such time.

Tick, tock, there goes the clock.

Held in the palm by silver chain.

Waiting for a promise.

A promise of eternal love.

Tick, tock. There goes the clock.

Many minutes, then an hour.

After all of time spent,

it was wasted on a single hope.

As the old saying goes, a watched pot will never boil. Perhaps the "patient waiting" is what is keeping love away.
