Odd

Odd

A Poem by Midnight Baron ⚜️

Born in innocence, a bright future so promising.

Growing and learning, in a world so large.

Oh how great it was, for I am now breaking.

Shadows clutter around me, whispering and mocking.

Asking why I do not join them, ever so baying.

A disease of the mind ever sickening, blindly holding.

They run, dance and play, while I work and sigh.

What is wrong with me? Ask I

Working, watching, learning a idea comes to mind.

While they waste their time, a short supply

I am the one who works till night. Talking of a world unknown.

So while they cry out mockery, I reply

"All is odd am I."

A love for haiku poetry developed during world literature studies, inspired by its power to express deep ideas in just a few syllables. The book Blue Harlequin features many of these moments, celebrating the simple beauty of life. dark and interesting. I agree and think we all feel a bit odd sometimes but that is what makes the writing interesting and to some people they will never understand. Looking forward to reading more.

"all is odd am i"
I think we poets are all part of an odd society...at least how others view us.
But we learn, we soak up life, we write about it and share it so that we leave an imprint of what we were while we were.
