Fleeting Thoughts

Fleeting Thoughts

A Poem by Midnight Baron ⚜️
"

For "Death becomes us" contest

"

Darkness veiling wide eyes, color fading in the mist.

Oh! Was thine life full of cheer or despair?

Tis not for you to declare.

Eyes turning to stone, to join in heavenly or hellish splendor.

I quite like this! I love the concept of cheer or despair and the unanswered questions that remain. Were you happy? Were you burdened in life? It's a very poignant thought.
