Saying You Are Alone Is Lying To Yourself

Saying You Are Alone Is Lying To Yourself

A Poem by ArtemisArrow777

Ever feel your world crash when people around you fade away
Ever feel the shake in your voice telling them you’re okay
I know what it’s like to grow numb to the pain
When your heart is racing and having wild thoughts throughout the day
Feeling cold and feeling empty
Even though you smile and take no pity
You come home and feel your layers giving away
Alone and confused
A beautiful disaster
Wondering how much longer this will last
You want to love and you want to care
But feel so drained you just sit there and stare
Emotions welled inside of you
Not sure what to choose
Do you want to cry it all out or become angry at its existence?
Building and burning your bridges
Will it ever end?
Cross rivers and streams, oceans too
Just to fall into the water
Drown your sorrows
In a fleeting hope you feel better tomorrow
