What Is The Meaning Of Life?A Poem by ArtemisArrow777
Hold onto me
Let your air be shared with mine Hold on tightly and fight the demons inside I whisper and grab onto your hands Fingers intertwined with mine We blame our fathers and mothers for our own mistakes And put children in our destructive state Why don’t we see the beauty of all things like the hellfire of our loved ones being raised by the ones we despise and grow to love at the same time Listen to your words closely as you stare into the eyes of those who turn to you when no one else is there to hold onto when the world feels as if it’s collapsing around them Listen to the beating heart of those who feel inspired to make a difference in this world and don’t enable their childhood to define who they will be in life Think about all the times you spent on the floor crying over things that don’t matter anymore I sit here and despise those who are motivated by the stars in the sky wishing to be the brightest and those who succeed on their own will and faith that they can do it because I can’t seem to find that drive like a broken down car that just wants to die I feel no less or more than the day before and I grasp onto the fact that death is inevitable and we all give and take to our disposal One day we all come to the same fate and what will you say as you approach heaven or hells gate? Will you pass peacefully or wallow in regrets? Will you forgive those who’ve wronged, love those that stick around, feeling nothing but easiness swell inside of you? Ask yourself what if I am what my problems originate from. Ask yourself these things as if you are to die right where you are. © 2019 ArtemisArrow777Author's Note
