DeathA Poem by ArtemisYou crave him or you live in fear, He plagues your troubled mind. You imagine all the possibilities, Look for an answer you can not find.
We preach about living for now, Yet spend our time preparing. We try to forget the bitter truth, But he can be so overbearing.
I don't know into which category I fall. Am I running too or from? Either way he hovers over me, He has me under his thumb.
Does he deserve the way we hate him? Has he really done so wrong? He's an inevitable part of nature, Perhaps he's been trying to help all along.
We forget the beauty of simplicity, Our lives are so fast-paced. Maybe we should embrace him, Instead of being chased.
That could be the right path, To accept his gentle kiss. To fall into his arms, And sleep in eternal bliss. © 2014 Artemis |
