Imagine Peace and Worlds so Mystique!

Imagine Peace and Worlds so Mystique!

A Poem by The Last Poetic King
"

Basically the idea came from John Lennon's Imagine. I know it does not even come close to the beautiful words of Lennon. It's really just two short poems.

"
It's been awhile hasn't it?
And yet the stars have not ceased to amaze
Three little words, oh so brave!
Take everything away and leave nothing but blank space
In-between tomorrow and today, the words echo a forgotten name
Time ceases to be and to be born again is to be free
A life beyond what we see,
physical is the illusion and the mind is key
To open doors beyond what there is,
To another world in which is to be
Imagine..
Constant riots plague our streets,
Desperate times, indeed..
But the old man laid down his life,
Nestled tightly in quilted sheets.
A shallow breath, but it mirrored so steep
He dreamt of a world so somber,
Imagine...

Author's Note

The Last Poetic King
I have not wrote a piece in a while and this is my first outcome. It's pretty weak in terms of my writing abilities, but the thing is.. I enjoy writing, whether people like it or not. I am not out to please anyone. Some say my poetry is confusion, but they fail to notice.. I aim to confuse. They say its rambling and maybe it is to you. I am not a straight forward writer and I am not aiming to be like anyone. I do my own thing and try to express feelings that have been stored. Sometimes I just wish to take a reader away from his or her life and put them in a world that is completely fictitious.

The first piece of the two poems.. Is about death and how when you die.. You are not longer in your physical body and you feel no more pain.. But it also expresses that love knows no bounds and continues after death.. Regardless of what you believe.. The overall theme is that love is eternal.

The second part.. Or poem two if you will.. It's shorter and the idea came from the movie V for Vendetta. Basically this old man lives in a time where his Nation is in a state of chaos.. His heart and body unable to bear it anymore, lays down for his last dream. As he is old, he no longer awakes.. He is ready, but he dreams of a world that is peaceful.. Something that is about to become his reality as he leaves his world behind.

I am not going to express in detail what my poems mean or what theyre about always.. But I simply did this to let people know I am still here and still writing. As well as to let people know all of my poems have a meaning or a reason behind them. So thank you for reading and I hope you have a better understanding of what I aim for now. Hope to keep your minds peaked and interested! Thank you, again.

-- Yours truly, The Last Poetic King.
