HomeA Poem by ArsenicThe world but an extension of the soul Housing good and evil Light and darkness Each place special and unique Home to a choosen few
But it is the state of Georgia Which holds my heart Lovingly and wholey My soul resides its place assured In the light of good
For here God must have taken extra care Its beauty unsurpassed its people Undescribable
In the place that I call home Animals roam freely Deer and birds living in the quite cool forest Of pine and oak and magnolia Squirrels chattering in the branches
On the summer wind is carried The seet smell of an afternoon rain Moving slowlyacross the fields of red Or the scent of freshly cut grass Thick and green in the air
And in the winter months When are still, and cool air flows A mere reprieve from dog day summers Thousands of christmas lights make bright the small town skies dazzling the eye and boggling the mind
And in the land of beauty Live a people of great love and kindness Welcoming and hospitable to all And a true family to those who are willing To give them a chance
The world but an extension of the soul Housing good and evil Light and darkness Each place special and unique Home to a choosen few © 2008 ArsenicReviews
