Chaos ReignsA Poem by ArsenicTwisted metal Reaching for the blackened sky Looked like a tragic forest
Bits of glass were strewn Across its forest floor Smoke was rising in thick and black clouds
I can't find my way out Of this forbidden woodland
I feel a sharp pain in my left leg As I make a feeble attempt at hobbling Toward safety
Its unbearable I soon fall to the ground Surrender
I can hear voices seraching for survivors I know my own Weak, to weak to function Death draws near
I remember the song I had been listening to Moments before it happened Moments before a firey hell flooded through its gates Into the world
I hum it softly to myself An ode to death Breathy with the gasps of a dieing man
Almost gone now Sounds fades into nothingness I enter a cosmic void of white Then I hear
A voice so soft and sweet It takes my breathe away Each individual sylable excruciatingly joyful Beautiful
It speaks about my life and the reasons for it It tells me that my time has not yet come To the man behind the voice But I must return, to fulfil my lifes purpose
The whiteness is suddenly shaken away Rough hands, rough voices pull me back Back to a world of hate, but I know the truth
I open my eyes and struggle Fighting to stand Screaming, calling for help I know will come Because now I know the truth
