Nothingness

Nothingness

A Poem by Arsenic
"

An account of one of the darkest times in my life.

"

She was gone

Faces swirled around me

A sea of Darkness

Complete with waves of meaningless

Unintelligible sound

By day I go through

Practiced motions-- habit

No thought no feeling

Eating tasteless food

Drinking dry water

By night I lay awake

Incapable of sleep

Only able to sit and think

Curled in a ball

Wishing the nothingess away

Wishing her return

Where once a soul had been

Was now a husk

Soulless, lifeless, heartless

Broken by two words

It's Over

Spoken by two perfect lips

The true missing of a love can be like no other pain. You feel so much raw emotion. At least that's what I'm getting when I read this. I know sometimes, when I really want to put as much emotion into something as I can, I tend to think about all the things I miss about love.

Wishing her return"

You vividly placed these images in my mind. Lovely read!
