Love LetterA Poem by Number79This was something I planned to make into a song, but it slipped my mind. Adapted to poem form.
Love letter
It started round age twelve, where I messed around with love, Super sugar sweet, She was my very first dove So I wrote up a vessel To love from beyond A crash to a wall And now it's all gone! I've got a love letter, love letter For you Tell me how feel Or if it's misconstrued I've got a love letter, love letter For you Baby you're not even real, Tell me what do I do? Dial past sector 7 We've got magical powers I've found the one, We'll seal it all, ours! Though push comes to shove, And they pulled up the rug, I fell down for hours Just to sit with the flowers. I've got a love letter, love letter, For you Hunny do you hear, How can I help you? I've got a love letter love letter, For you I pour my heart and soul Just for your abuse! I've got a love letter, love letter, For you You lead me straight downhill What else can I do? Last page left torn, And I swear on my life It's not worth trying The hope for the strife. I'll lock myself away, Frozen in crystalline ice So put every list Naughty or nice. You'll never come back, I've grown to accept, So I'll stay by the towers, And wait by the steps. You took my love letter, love letter, Ooh-ooh, Threw it in the shredder and lit the gas fumes I'm out of love letters, love letters Thank you, I've learned and come to terms To push farther for you. © 2022 Number79Author's Note
