The Beloved's Wrath

The Beloved's Wrath

A Poem by Arrinae
"

Another piece about the Five Great Generals from 'To End the Crusade' This was the last general, the Heroine's love.

"

Fast and skilled,

Was the medic's lover.

Honorable and smart,

No one dared to cross the line.

Bad mouth his boy,

Or if one dares, his wife.

They'd feel his anger,

But not his rage.

Full of blood lust,

A true killing machine.

Push him over the edge,

His blade wouldn't be seen.

Purged the soul,

Of all who hurt her.

Those who made her bleed,

Could only be saved by her hand.

Only she could tame the beast,

The demon in his blood.

Only she never feared him,

No, she feared for their foes.

Honorable he was,

He died to save his ward,

The medic slew his killers,

And he died in her arms.

She let loose a rage,

Far worse than his own.

She dared them then,

To face the widow scorned.

I liked this one a lot. I am very interested in his character, he seems to have many layers.

Purged the soul,
Of all her hurt her.

Was that supposed to be "Of all who hurt her"?

I really liked how you ended that. The final lines had some great closure in them and you can feel the rage emanating off of the words.
