Internal CollisionA Poem by QuillDecision decisionI have become divided beyond comprehension Two extremities make me ponder of a neutral ground One which mitigates the risks of both points Yet ameliorates their benefits This conflict within me is quite enigmatic The divide between the need for righteousness and romance Hence I seek a reasonable enough balance One which gives both causes their due One which lets the divinity prevail Yet gives room for the matters of the heart I fear losing the one I love if I tarry on virtue I fear losing my soul if I continue in flirtation And I fear losing both shall I remain lukewarm Such an apathetic life will be punished So where can I find this perfect balance There is place beyond the trade off One which allows both to coexist Could this chaos be settled? I need pertinent wisdom to attain this I would have to tread carefully with humility Else this collision will persist© 2022 QuillAuthor's Note
