Aberrant cycles

Aberrant cycles

A Poem by Quill
"

perseverance

"
Even with clear convictions I still tire of these times
However times like this make perseverance keen
The keen nature of perseverance truly grants clemency
Though with clemency one must seek redemption
Such redemption can only bear retribution
And retribution has ignited within me ambition
Ambition permits me to venture the world
My ventures have shown me the true nature of beings
These beings have revealed their ever surfacing imperfections
Such imperfections were to be expected
My expectations of perfection were simply delusional
The delusions were inspiring but unreal
Now the grips of reality has awakened me
This awakening carries an unearthed regret
This regret is one to be reckoned with
With the reckoning of these forces one must be vigilant
For the purpose of vigilance is to maintain insight
Insight of ones true self
Losing sight of ones true self is a life of ruin
