Prelude to a Death in the Family (7/20/16)

Prelude to a Death in the Family (7/20/16)

A Poem by ArnoldtheRubberDucky

I feel that a poem
Anticipating
A tragic loss would
Be creative

I can't miss this chance
To take advantage
Of my brief
Emotional ignorance

I await the fate patiently
Of the great he or she
Whose demise
Will anchor my experience

Whose place in my heart I'll infer
Is near and dear
Though useful I fear
It will come as a shock I'm sure

I'll feel guilty when you're gone about this
And besides I'll never need it
The only thing about you I won't miss
You'll love it
I lied
You'll never read it
