Don't judge me by my cover

Don't judge me by my cover

A Chapter by Armrose

I’m about to tell you a story " or rather, a bunch of short stories - of chaos, of horror, of redemption and the unexpected. It’ll make you laugh, it’ll make you cry and it will make you desperate in your pursuit of experiencing what I have. Don’t be jealous now, I already know how amazing the life I’ve led is compared to other’s more unsubstantial ones, no need to remind me!

I’m kidding of course. These stories are not a reflection of the surreal or the epic. These stories are the telling of many years of suffering, of great highs and joys and everything in between. Most of it is ordinary, just life doing what life is supposed to do. But don’t get me wrong, like ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ said; everything is not what it seems. As if I would have you read about my life, my experience if it wasn’t at least a little entertaining? Don’t worry there will be plenty of stories for you to read about my shortcomings and plenty more worth laughing at me about. And yeah, there’s some really sad ones too that’ll make you probably pity me a bit, but we all have those kinds of stories, I’m just choosing to share mine.

Naturally for the sake of privacy and respect for the people I’ll be speaking about who really don’t deserve the respect I am granting them, I will be changing the names to disguise their persona. I also just don’t want to be called out for slander or whatever other creative way these people may choose to manipulate my definitions of their character so that’s that.

One might feel inclined to ask; why am I doing this and who the hell is it for? I’d like to say I’m doing it for me, but then, I wouldn’t be posting it online for others to read if it was a personal motive. So, I figure that yes it’s a little bit for me, but also a kind of PSA (Public Service Announcement), as in don’t make the same bloody stupid mistakes I did. You’ll see the choices I made that led me down this path and how it changed me, and that should be more than enough to convince you not to do the same.

That being said, I’ve had plenty of redeeming moments and choices that were the right course of action and worked to balance out the consequences of the incorrect  ones, so don’t avoid all of my life lessons, there’s actually some wise-old man trope s**t in there too (or at least I like to think so).

So buckle up folks, this is a real s**t show.
