Guilt

Guilt

A Poem by Armé

Guilt

"Particularly in a globalized world, it is hard to keep doors open to fear, which is manipulated everywhere in the medea, hard to let ourselves educate by fear, hard to wait for moral decisions in a society in which apparently everyone silently concent in the value of Speed and Productivity, and we judge quite fast to passivate our fear and say: "I am right." In that way even the most obvious inhumane politcal systems can attain power and keep it, just as long as this system creates fear and passivates it - a constant but not surprising act that satisfies anger, which is often nice to feel. By nature, apparently, we do not SEE our own guilt and mistakes, but those guilty peoples guilt, which our fear constantly creates and that is required to be judged upon immediately (in the media): the proof of their great guilt beeing exactly that degree of inhumane conduct by which we meet them. But is it the guilty ones that make guilt a value, or our value of guilt that makes us safe?"
