Evil

Evil

A Poem by Armé

Evil

"The evil in human beings may go along roads which it calls: The human right - Human obligation - human beings Natural needs, Natural kindness and Goodness, even Love: by guilt it tries to motivate action, and it hides the selfish motives with feelings and moods, which are stronger than the human will. It offers healing by the same means, like some creature that cannot stop eating: from Human right and Human obligation, suddenly there are NO LIMITS - especially concerning its arguments and defense for the human Self and what it may be guilty of, in other words: why you did not succeed and now, at once, most do still more in the name of Love or something else. What binds evil in us, too? Our "natural" obligation to make people feel guilty or the power which can then be exercised?"
