A Story by Touché Armada
"

Selfish me. This is really not about me, it the observation and knowing of a long standing friend of 19 years and her late husband.

"

Flicking through photos all of which I want to cut in half, I felt so selfish, because you look so serine while my eyes tell on me. It had me wondering was I really sad because I know we are all going to lose you? No, I thought about it, and that’s not it. I know what it is now, it’s the knowing you found someone you were willing to die for, that one person you were and still are so inexplicably in love with, death never really could touch either of you. But it did and it will and you’re so serine, you’re so impossibly happy, and you know he’s waiting for you he comes to you at night, in the lonely nights when your soul cracks through the middle and sends out shock waves looking for your missing piece, reminding them to wait because you’re on the way, and when that day comes I know you’re going to be just as at peace as you are now, because you know he was worth dying for the only thing worth dying for. When that preacher said till death do us part I don’t think he knew what he was talking about and you, You make me want to live forever and ever, till I find the one I’d die for, the only thing worth dying for.

to me, death is only the beginning of the next part of one's journey...who is to say that your life ends when and if you die? to find the one you are willing to die for is part of your journey throught this life. i had thought i had found my one truest love, the one i was willing to die for, but things change, people change...

though i am no longer with him, i still feel that i would die for him because we were bond by a promise of til death do you part. we are parted in this life now, but who is to say that we will not be together in the next one.

a nice write that has made me think about my own thoughts and the pictures in my mind. i hope that you find your one...

Always,

Amanda

Di- Firstly my deepest regards extend to your dear friends loss-a love worth dying for-i was pondering
that same initiative earlier today brought up in subject and it came to my attention that its said
as you stated by a preacher.. that no greater love than that to lay down one's life for as friend-
now contemplating that in comparision to two hearts-eternall drawn togther--is anything really

eternal in light of a physical nature- and how much devotion does it really take.. ..thus I really
think your poem has ability to draw out such questions that recipricate earlier thoughts that
many pose-personally i found your words heart touching-toward the heartwrenching side-and
perhaps if comfort is needed- he does come back-sometimes its best to move on- and cut photographs
set alone- talented writing- as only you can..

I think this what you describe is true love - a love stronger than death even ...

Happy those who find such - who find their real soulmate - the twin part of their soul ...

A magnificent write filled with enormous grace and strength.

Kudos!

It took me sixty years to find the lady for whom I would have gladly died so she could live.
Now that she left me to journey in space and in my memory, I write for her.
I daily express my love to her, you and a few others to whom she gave life. her youngest
reads everything I write; i also listen to her youthful comments, and get new ideas
for ways to express my love. thank you for what you have given me.

Excellent piece of writing! You shared your thoughts in a very honest and friendly manner and it makes the reader have an almost voyeuristic feeling about your ties with the two friends. I loved reading those words and sharing every of your thoughts: it gives a very beautiful impression about friendship.

An observation of such depth and richness, knowing the strength of a love worth dying for. Dynamic image of the soul looking for the missing piece! Wonderful write!

Oh, Armada. I'm jealous of your friend. I want to love like that. It's so selfish but I want that.

I think we all want to be with that person that makes us want to live life to the fullest. The person you were with didn't make you happiest. They are in a peaceful place and you describe that so beautifully and the love that went with that person still lives.
This is a beautiful poem full of things that cause examination in our lives. Life is too short to be with the wrong person. Excellent writing!

Yeah, thoughts can be extremely mischievous sometimes don't they? And now in the world today, uncertainty rules, that single entity u can definitely be sure of. And when it comes to love...everything goes down the drain pipe.
Life's full of opportunities and chances, u stumble and tumble upon most of them but remain undecided most of the times. Result!!! regrets perhaps. It's best to live ur life in ur present, rather than ur past. The one who's gone, is gone. And perhaps he's very content and with peace with everything. It's u who have to carry on, and it won't be easy alone.
U might get the feeling once again that u are willing to happily give ur life for some one, such is the power of affection....but when u know u just can't...then how about a cause??? Divert ur thinking channels onto something bigger than urs and mine and u just might feel u are onto something...'something worth dying for'.
"cos the world's is a funny place dear, it's different for every one of us in million different ways....try a different route sometimes...might help u in ur thoughts getting less selfish and concentrated :)))
Ok, i can deliver a grand lecture...hehe :))))
