That wordless cry, that settles like foam upon the shore line after a storm, that muffles the gentle waves as they curl like a lapping kitten beneath, a tired quiet rhythm... Softly and from that silent foam, a breath of life and light, pleasing to the sight, and born on the half-shell, from seed spilled to sea; she is Venus, alike to thee ... She the morning the evening star blowing kisses from the sky to the east and west, from cockle shell heart, pink, bathed in brine, for she grasps the world she grasps the world, but holds the empty skies, and the eyes of all the distant, too far to hold close, to crushing gravity, a heaviness, a longing. So glistens the silent passed storm stirred foam, the calm, quieting a surface like shiny scales, tea lights or tears or jewels, star kissed, from one so bright. © 2008 Touché ArmadaReviews
