Carousel

Carousel

A Poem by Arline

What say you, young lovers?

So intrigued to kiss,

As you hold on to one another

And fall into heavens bliss.

Round, round on the Carousel.

The view changes with each turn,

But their eyes stay on each other with yearns.

For both ye knows that this night will end

And each will go their separate ways.

Round, round on the Carousel.

Their come entwine,

As the music plays on by

And he asks with kind eyes

‘Shall we make this our song?’

Round, round on the Carousel.

She says with a smile wide

‘It is our song,’

And leans gently to his chest,

To hear his heart at best.

Round, round on the Carousel.

A risk they took for one last kiss,

On a night that held such tender bliss.

If only all would be okay,

If only they could stay,

Round, round on the Carousel.

What say you young lovers

Are you ready for goodbye?

Forever we’ll remember,

Our love we shared together

For our hearts will come back around.

Round, round like a Carousel.
