Antisocial ChainsA Poem by Arizona SkySay I'm stupid, don't know the rules. I call you blind, blame you foolsThe way you count from six to seven The way I count the stairs to heaven Broken geometry of life Hideous sorrow, disgusting strife
You write deep in ink and follow grooves I break free, create new moves Shoot the bird that flies in south Forget nonexistent routh
You open books of ancient testiment I listen to what the trees have meant Tear down forests of ivy green Bare addiction you can't wean
Say I'm stupid, don't know the rules I call you blind, blame you fools Antisocial chains you bind Around my open, learning mind
Name me outcast, vagabond All because of life I'm fond Tear about, burn my soul Till ash is left, darkened coal
I'm oblivious in your closed off minds You're oblivious in mine © 2011 Arizona SkyAuthor's Note
