It's as If

It's as if I can feel you

Your body up against mine

Your heartbeat although distant

Beats constant rythmic time

 

It's as if I can hear you

Your lips against my ear

Whispering secrets

Won't let me shed a tear

 

It's as if I can see you

Your smile ever bright

Your large hands against mine

Fading evening light

 

It's as if I can hold you

Your warm skin touching mine

I wish to fall asleep

Not forget your simple rhyme

 

It's as if I can touch you

Your fingers through my hair

Showing me the clouds above

Whispering evening air

 

It's as if but isn't true

Images are all that are left of you

Tears fall on an empty heart

Broken and left to die

Torn apart from soul.. and mind

 

It's as if but never will be

Leaving me as bird without wings

I will not fly to you again

And feel my heart rejoicing

 

I long to feel your hands

I long to feel your heartbeat

I long to see your face

And know I'm in the right place

 

Broken heart and broken soal

Left living in a hole

Darkness intertwines with heart

Leaving all to set apart

 

Others try to meddle

Meddle with my heart

I try to feel false feelings

But mind has stopped it's realings

 

I dream of you and whisper true

When the nights call out to you

See me in the stars right then

Individual not as few

 

Hand on the window sill

Wishing that you were near

So you could hold me tight

All the way through the night

 

Dove in the distance calls

Breaking morning's silent call

To bring another day to be

Another with you away from me

A poem I wrote about my feelings.
It's a personal matter really. I wrote it in January but the actual thing that started these feelings happened back right in the beginning of summer... I guess it's all still true in me...
