The Clown DepartsA Poem by Arijit BoseI am happy just to make you happy and I am sad that you still don't understand itI wear a mask, and it becomes me, in the end its all masks that I see. if you love this me and think its really me Help me come out and love me when I am
free.
I am happy if such the mask tells you, Try to find if that’s what is true. I dig deep beneath to search the real me How deep I go its all masks that I see.
I would dance, jump and fall I am plum, fat, hunchback and tall A clown is what I am and what I will be, You are fool to love my mask and think its
really me.
I think I make them happy and its not the
mask, Proving it, what I feel is my only task. So I jump on stage, to every body’s glee. Through away the mask, now it’s just me.
The fun stops, booing, boredom starts, The mask stays, and the clown departs. Old shaky but real smile, and it’s just me. At last I can’t make you smile but I am
free.
