This Vale of Tears

This Vale of Tears

A Poem by Aries1984
"

Describing a place ravaged by hate. Written in light of recent current events.

"
Sadness steeps down its hills
Above, the grey clouds cry
A heavy yoked burden fills
The air, but we stand idly by.

That as this place, this Vale of Tears
Suffers from oppression
The world is blind, bending to it's own fears
Truth is swept under the rug to avoid confession.

We know it's there, this place exists
Where angels walk in despair
And yet disparity still persists
Because we turn a blind eye to what's happening there.

We turn a deaf ear to the cries
That come out of the Vale of Tears
And when images show up, we shut our eyes
And continue to ignore what has been neglected for far too many years.

Yet in the Vale the tears keep pouring
Out of the eyes of the sky and the angels down below
When hatred thought that he was scoring
It did not see this coming or even know.

That within suffering, there's a will to fight
To rise up in defiance and be strong
For victory is within close sight
And it's people will sing it's song.

The day will come when the grass will grow green
And the flowers start to bloom
And love will rise like never before seen
And shine upon this place like the sun in June.

The day will come when love will destroy
It will make evil meet it's fate
And this Vale of Tears will become The Vale of Joy
For love is more powerful than hate.
