Human

For my friend.

Don’t lose hope.

You are strong.

Kind-

Human.

 

You ache inside.

I can see it in your eyes.

You don’t want to cry,

because you’d rather disguise

that you are in fact...

Human.

 

God, save her soul.

She is breaking from within,

losing herself control

when it comes to who she is supposed

to be in this life.

 

Because what they teach,

how some preach,

the way society says she ought to be,

is anything and everything other than

she being seen as

Human...

A very relatable poem with a deep meaning in it's words. I specially loved the second stanza -
