sweet tooth

sweet tooth

A Poem by ArielMicheline

Terror does not dictate the world I live in
Careening down a path without the helmet I hold so dear
You cannot change the internal struggle
You can only memorize the lines you wrote
Recite them often in the in-between
Of you and I.
Wary and wounded I will falter
Cornered and concerned I burn through the monument
Of your loss
Have your cake and eat it too, I do not care
The way I used to.
It means little to me now that I am alone.
