deny the dissidence

deny the dissidence

A Poem by ArielMicheline

The dissidence of the day changes little
Your hands remind me of what matters
Smile gracing your lips as I enter the room
Branded and burning in my soul
I am at a loss at the scent of your skin
For the first time embraced
For who I truly am
How can I deny the depth of love I feel
Who cowers to discord at the sight of something
So precious as a woman willing
In her vulnerability
Knowing you have been burned by a
Flame of infinitely hotter proportions
I ache
At the thought of you
