with a quickness

with a quickness

A Poem by ArielMicheline

running head-long into the quickness

of my pulse pounding

the roaring in my ears you cause

heart racing racing racing feet

pounding pounding pounding the

pavement whips past and the tarmac

tears my knees as i stumble

we all knew i would eventually

collapse better to fall

with the tast of you on

my tongue pressed to the top of

my mouth on your mouth your

fingers intertwined in someone elses

hand
