chipped

chipped

A Poem by ArielMicheline

i watched as the rain left streaks
my windshield chipped
a little like me this morning
you wore down the exterior guise
and discarded what you discovered
itching for the one who really loves you
two sisters
as far apart as one bed could go
i have no longing for domesticity
just for the soft
tender aspect of your body
so i sit
watching the rain leaving
streaks on my windshield
on the verge of cracking
and thought about how silly
i seem
