Weighed Down by the World

Walking on searing coals

Weighed down by the world

The weight is pulling my down deeper

The coals submerging into my flesh

My chest pounding

Struggling to breathe

Shaking

Crumbling

My pride isn't allowing me to give up

The fire rising

My life fading away

A mist

I try to hold on

The mist fades away from my clenched fist

Out of my power

Out of my hands

Waiting

Waiting for the day

That the world blesses me by letting me go

To ascend to heaven
