Green TeaA Poem by AriVA short acrostic poem about green tea and first dates.
Giddy delight as the hot cup is held languidly between cold fingers Red hot, the water has been recently boiled and steam flows around Expectations of smart conversations start to build Energetic conversations about films and books Nice, the tea goes down smoothly, soothing her nerves
They eventually run out of things to talk about, but still there’s the green tea Each has their cups half-filled now, taking their time so as to not rush things And then, exasperated and bored, she gulps the remains down, having at least enjoyed the green tea.
