Starry Night

Inspired by tonight's beautiful meteor shower and a heart filled with love.

There must have been

A million stars in the sky,

And I made a wish on

Every one for the chance

To hold you tight.

 

I swore I heard you whisper

Oaths of love in my ear.

Declarations of a love so true.

 

I thought I felt your arms

Snug around my waist.

Your cheek pressed against mine.

A phantom touch, yearned for.

 

Oh how I wish you were here,

To be by my side.

To witness this splendor,

On this beautiful, starry night.

Awesome write... I sat outside for a long time watching the stars and just enjoying the peace and beauty in it. I wish for the same thing you are I just don't have the someone special to wish for still haha... someday :)

Thank you, Aaron. Don't worry, hun, She's on her way to you. Trust me when I tell you this, it will come when you least expect it. It will be like a slap in the face, but in the best possible way. That's what happened for me & my one true. I did not expect to fall in love and frankly, neither did he. However, we did. Even though we are apart right now, we have faith that the force that brought us to each other, will keep us together.

She's on her way. Just keep that in mind.
