Carousel

Sometimes love just feels this way...

A carousel of emotions.

I'm constantly riding.

There's entirely too much

Up and down, when it comes to

Loving you.

 

The carousel of my heart is not

Operational.

Shattered mirrors.

Tiny gears and parts throw against

The walls.

It comes to my attention,

It really should be mentioned,

That I only loved you by default.

 

A broken down theme park.

A busted carousel.

A skeleton of happy memories,

A graveyard I know too well.

The font took away so much I quit at 4 lines...

and I came back and started again...at 5 lines I was unreasonably angry and quit again.
a final chance - made it through...but I'll never read it again.

Aah! carousel such a fine write. The last two lines are brilliant I could have used them in my poems. And Shattered mirrors, Tiny gears and parts thrown against the wall reflect a row and throwing plates comes to mind in this emotional ride of turmoil compared to a fun park is just bloody ingenious. Great read:)
