Sometimes a downfall

I cling to the memory of you.
Every smile,
Every kiss,
Every I love you.

I cling to the wreckage
of my heart.
It's all I have left.
The remnants, from what
you tore apart.

I cling.
That's what you taught me
to do, when you left me.

I cling to every person,
questioning their motives
at the very same time.
Yet, I still cling.
