Love Hangover

This piece was inspired by the feelings I feel you get, when you realize your "love" isn't really love.

Wake to the pounding

inside my head.

Fully aware that

my heart feels dead.

Sweaty palms.

Pronounced shakes.

Ears full of

a static buzz.

Can't believe I

was dumb enough

to get drunk

on your "love".

Nausea that bubbles

deep inside my chest.

Dealing with the

fact of knowing,

fooling is what you

do best.

Does anyone have

a remedy for

this hangover?
