Bleach

This piece was, once again, inspired by my hero, KC ♥. I think it's an interesting piece.

Soak your sins

in bleach.

Completely clean them

from your memory.

Taking away the

dirt and grit.

Leaving a heart

that's clean.

I wish I could

soak your memories

from my mind.

I've tried and tried.

It never works.

Failing each and

every time.

I don't understand

it's failure.

A concentrated

chemical.

It should easily

wipe you away.

Yet, my mind

is still soaked

in the mud,

that is you.

I think I

need stronger

bleach.

This really hits home for me as I have told myself so many times in the past that I've moved on from this feeling or from this person. And really it's just a lie to myself. The imprint is left on the individual no matter how strong the denial or how much time has passed. Very nice piece!

You're certainly welcome. I also love Kurt Cobain and Nirvana! They are definitely one of my favorite bands and I see the reference now. Their first album was titled 'Bleach' and the song Come as You Are. I love it!

I just did a little happy dance. Finally somebody got the references! I was listening to all the Nirvana albums when I was writing and this popped into my head! Kurt was my absolute favorite, but I also adore Dave Grohl. I wish Kurt wouldn't have died. We lost such a great mind.

Haha! I'm glad I made you do a happy dance! I wish Kurt was still here too. His depression overrode everything else. I can relate as I suffer from severe depression as well. Life is hardest for the most genuine and sensitive people. And Kurt certainly had both of those qualities.

I completely understand where people like him and you come from. I suffer from Bipolar Disorder. So I really get the intense depression. Kurt had it as well. Makes me feel connected to him even more because I get his mind. People like us are definitely more sensitive..
