Requiem For a Dying Heart

Requiem For a Dying Heart

A Poem by ♥ Ari Skye ♥
"

This piece just is a fun piece. First off, I love the word requiem so I decided to write a poem that I could use that word somewhere. This is the product.

"
I permanently
rescind my
memory of you.

It won't matter,
what you say or do.

This relationship,
a calamity to my soul.

So right now,
it's apropos that
I let you go.

I'll be a leper to society,
if need be.
Just as long
as you let go of me.

These words a
tribute to my dying heart.

Amity, destroyed
from the start.

The opening line is bold and powerful; if only we could rescind a memory. I like this very much.
