Emotional Gluttony

They say "Hell hath no fury on a woman scorned"... This is what happens when you screw me over...

I'll tear out

your heart.

Make you bleed.

Make you want

with incredible need.

I'll spit on

your dreams.

Make you cry.

Make you feel

dead inside.

Revenge I seek,

birthed from hurtful seeds.

Planted by men,

whom pain,

is all they need.

Love, a foreign object.

Truth, even more

abstract.

Why, you wonder,

does she hurt

this way?

Take a look

in the mirror.

Your reflection,

the key,

to the answers

of my desperate plea.

Vengence

being my vice.

Engrained by time.

Don't try to

change me.

Don't try to sway

my greed.

Your tears

will be enough.

To feed my lust

for emotional gluttony.

anger tends to be unreasoning... and yet its blow-up is often directed toward what would normally be just an annoyance and not the root cause of the emotional upheaval - especially when we really look into what we are really angry about... and collateral (in every personal sense) damage can't be apologized away.

Thank you! That is exactly what I was feeling in this moment. I had so much anger and rage and I just wanted to convey to the reader, how my anger was so strong, that to me it begins to take on a life form! Thank you for your review and I'm glad you liked it!

The short lines do well to make your phrases appear sharp and biting. The bold red font is also a good stylistic choice. However, you spelled vengeance wrong. No worries though! It doesn't take away from your poem, just thought you would want to know. Keep it up (:

Very good emotional out-throw. I know the greedy lust for vengeance. But remember that vengeance comes at a price that's we sometimes can't pay. I especially love the way you started off this piece so raw. I read it a few times. Because its that awesome.

Thank you. I'm glad that my POV came across in this poem the way I wanted. In life, I tend not to get vengeance, however my mind begs for it. So I write how I want it and then I don't think of it anymore.. Good therapy that way. Lol. Thank you for your review and I'm glad that you liked it so much!
