Alone

This piece is the first, in a series of darker poems, I've written in the last few days...

Banging my head

against the wall.

Trying to figure out

if the pain is real.

Life isn't simple,

that we all know,

but we never expect our downfall.

Tearing at my flesh.

Is this is a dream?

Blood pouring out

from my ripped seams.

Life is never what

it seems.

Sometimes I think,

it's all a scene.

Straight out of a

horror novel.

Capturing the demons

I have long since implored.

Tearing at my flesh.

Popping out my bones.

Praying and hoping that

the pain will leave me alone.

Dreams dripping from

the gash I made in

my soul.

You'll never understand

why I feel so alone.

Alone.
