I Love You

Somehow, I find myself not being able to tel the person I want this. So, I have to do it this way...

I love you.

I couldn't help it.

I had to say it.

You're all I think about,

night and day.

When we're not talking,

I miss you so much,

it drives me insane.

I didn't want to tell you,

for risk of you running away.

But my foolish heart,

lost it's brain.

I love you.

What else can I say.

That's a lot of feelings hidden in this... My favorite line, "But my foolish heart lost it's brain." We are told to rely on our brain, not our heart. Our thoughts, our rationalizations, not our feelings, our morals. That's not just in love, but we're talking about love here. I think this was light-hearted, yet still so heavy. I liked it. :) Hope the guy reads it and feels the same way.

This speaks volumes about what happens to us when we fear telling someone that we love them. I really enjoyed this piece and it has caused me to pause and reflect on my own decision to not tell someone how I felt about them.
