Haunting Memories

Haunting Memories

A Poem by ♥ Ari Skye ♥
"

This piece was stuck in my head for two weeks before I actaully wrote it down... I guess it wanted out!

"
I was delusional,
too blind to see,
the signs you were showing me.
Unable to believe,
you could inflict misery.

There's no need for pictures,
I can still see your face.
It's stuck in my mind,
can't be replaced.
There's no need for movies,
I can still hear your voice.
Driving me crazy,
I can't think.

How do I say
what's absurdly true?

There's no need for a scrapbook,
My haunting memories
will do.

Traumatic events and misery tend to stay in the mind forever. The last 3 lines convey so much.
