A Troubled Girl

This may be tough for some to read. It drips with self-hate and at the time I was in a VERY dark place.

She's let you down again.

How can you trust her?

She does not understand.

She's a loner,

destined for trouble.

You're not the first and you won't be the last,

but as long as you allow,

she'll do it time and time again.

Her heart,

once made of roses,

now is full of bloody thorns.

Her hands,

once soft and tender,

now are colloused and worn.

Believe her not.

She's lied to you a million times before.

The girl you thought you knew so well,

has become a petty harlot.

Despicable,

Ungraceful,

Unthoughtful,

Untrue.

Sadly, the part you'll never know,

is that troubled girl is you . . .

Nothing wrong with that... everyone has those moments in life. Best way to get it out is to put it in words and free it from your mind.

Exactly. That's what I do. So not only is my writing my career, it's my therapy. Lol

haha... writing definitely provides an outlet/therapy for myself. Sometimes I write and I'm like I dont even know where those words came from but they came out today. :)

Yep. Same way here. I think it's funny because sometimes I can be like, washing dishes and stuff will come to me. So, I go running through the house, dish soap and water running down my arms, to get some paper. I need to get it down before I lose it.... LMAO
